Re: Desktop
Budget?
Preferances? (AMD/Intel, AMD/nvidia, corsair etcetc) I'd go with AMD/Corsair due to price:trustworth:performance ratio.
Which OS you will run it on and do you already have it? I suspect Win7 64 bit
Need a fast HDD with small capacity or slower with high capacity? Slower with high capacity is my guess.
If I do guess answer to those right by just knowing you, I'd suggest this kind:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L LE
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
RAM: Corsair Value Select 4GB (2x2) DDR3 1333MHz DIMM
PSU: Corsair CX500W V2
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 320Gb-1000Gb
DVD: Cheapest possible, but one with ability to burn DVDs.
Computercase: Antec Three Hundred (or likes, cheap and big)
GPU: Asus EAH6450 SILENT/DI/512MD3(LP) Radeon HD 6450 for small gaming purposes, such as VC. //// Asus EAH5670/DI/1GD5 Radeon HD5670 1GB DDR5 A little heavier yet still keeping the price low, as I would suspect you still play other games with XBOX rather than with PC.
Price: 421,40€ in finnish store exluding DVD drive (+30€) and computer case (~40€) (with better GPU and 1000 Gb HDD)
Total price would roughly be around 460€.
PC like this can and most likely will be used after few years too as low-end PC (now it'd be mid-end)
Have fun masterboy

Re: Desktop
I'll want a desktop capable of running most games, otherwise its pointless IMO. My Budget would be like £800, but obviously I would like to spend the least amount as possible while still meeting the top criteria. Keep in mind I'll also need to buy a monitor, so I'll need to put money aside for that.
Yeah I'll want to use Windows OS. About HDD: not sure.

PSU: Corsair CX600W V2 - 70€
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - 125€
GPU: Asus EAH6850 DC/2DIS/1GD5/V2 - 170€

Re: Desktop
Of course you could cut something off, but then again it would loose the much needed trust and performance (I'd pay for trustworthy components more than PC itself)Klaus wrote:Pricey..

Re: Desktop
Klaus has a budget and GTX 580 tops it almost on it's own lol. Also Win7 Ultimate is worthless if you want to use win7 for light gaming purposes and/or some school work (Microsoft office).DeaD_StaR wrote:Mother Board: Asus M5A88-M (AMD 880G MicroATX)
